Christmas Wishes!

We have just decided that we will be drawing names for this Christmas! We (Cathy and Kelley) decided it would be great for everyone to put their wish list on line, so that the person who has your name will know what to get you! The limit this year is $25.00. Please comment to this entry with your wish list. Don't be afraid to add to it, if you think of something new!

This year we will all be together for the first time in several years. The Jeff West family has promised to be there this year...right Jeff???

Cinnamon Swirl Bread and Other Pictures

Here are the pictures (this is the first thing i've posted on here so i'm probably going to be a bit rusty)

Cinnamon Bread - Thanks for the recipe Aunt Dina!

This is a bizarre rock formation that was within biking distance from where I used to live (Manchester-by-the-Sea, MA). It's called Agassiz Rock. It's a lot stranger in person because the the larger rock (Little Agassiz) is absolutely huge! (I was going to take a picture of Big Agassiz, but it's the size of a house (at least) and just looked like a white blob.

I'll see if my mom send me more pictures that I sent her.

Oh, I'm currently working at Perceptive Informatics. It's a corporate medical imaging place, which means that we process x-rays, MRI's, CT, and PET scans and do some preliminary readings on them. The scans are performed on people who are participating in new drug studies. So our clients are major pharmaceutical companies. The results from us are forwarded on to the FDA who makes the final decision of whether the drug is safe/effective enough to put on the market. Right now, my job primarily consists of making sure that the hospitals around the world that are participating in the studies i'm on are doing what they're supposed to be doing. (most of them are not doing what they're supposed to be doing.....) Kind of strange because I've no idea what the majority of the people i talk to every day look like since a lot of my work is done over the computer or on the phone. The job is pretty high stress, but it definitely keeps me busy! A lot of the people I work with are Harvard, MIT, Boston College, and Boston Univ. grads with an occasional Dartmouth person. So at first that was a little intimidating, but as it turns out, they're normal people. :)

I'm living in Peabody, MA right now. Moved here in late August. I'm living here with 2 other guys (brothers) and we've been getting along pretty well. I lived with one of them (Nate) last year at Gordon and lived with the other one over the summer in Manchester-by-the-Sea. (they changed the name to that because it kept on getting confused with Manchester, NH.) I'd planned on going to Hammond Castle today (it's a castle in Gloucester, MA), but i'm not sure if i'm going to be able to find anyone to go with me. So i might just go grocery shopping seeing as i'm out of food. :)

I guess that sums up what's going on in the East Coast chapter of the West Family.

Adios mi familia!
